The conditions for the grant of an entry visa in Cameroon in accordance with decree No. 2007/255/PM of 4 September 2007 fixing the modalities for the application of law No. 97/012 of 10 January 1997 relative to conditions of entry, stay and exit of foreigners are as follows;
- Transit Visa: The delivery of a transit visa is subject to the production of the following documents;
- A passport or other travel document valid for at least six months.
- A valid ticket to the final destination, any other documentary evidence, or any other proof of continued travel.
- A visa or entry permit for the country of final destination, if applicable.
- The required international vaccination certificates.
- Tourist Visa: The issue of an individual or collective tourist visa is subject to the production, as the case may be, of the documents listed in article 30 of Decree No. 2007/255/PM of 4th September 2007 fixing the modalities for the application of Law No. 97/012 of 10th January 1997 relative to the conditions of entry, stay and exit of foreigners in Cameroon. The documents are as follows;
- A valid passport for at least six months.
- A flight ticket or other valid ticket to Cameroon.
- International vaccination cards and certificates.
- The repatriation guarantee
The above documents are presented by the tourist or by the travel organizer on behalf of the tourist.
- Temporary Visa: The delivery of a temporary visa is conditional subject to the production, as the case may be;
- A passport or other travel documents have a validity period of at least six months.
- An air ticket or a round trip ticket to and from the destination country or, if applicable, a customs clearance booklet.
- International vaccination cards.
- Evidence of the purpose of the visit, as well as of sufficient conditions and means of subsistence, for the duration of the stay.
- A certificate of accommodation issued by the person who undertakes to accommodate the visitor bearing the visa of the competent territorial mayor or an invitation to an event organized on national territory or a firm hotel reservation for the planned duration of the stay.
- A mission order.
- The Long-Stay Visa: The granting of a long-stay visa is subject to the production of as the case;
- Passport having at least a six months validity period.
- A flight ticket or travel documents to Cameroon.
- International vaccination certificate.
- Guaranty of repatriation.
- An employment contract approved by the minister of labour for foreigners wishing to work in Cameroon.
- An authorization to exercise a liberal profession or to promote an agricultural, pastoral, industrial, commercial, artistic or other activity, issued by the competent authorities, when such authorization is required.
- A document justifying the marital relationship for the spouse, or parental relationship for the minor children.
- A certificate of enrolment or re-registration issued by the head of the institution for students.
- A certificate of placement for trainees.
