Every reporting institution is required to declare quarterly to the Secretary General of the National Economic and Finance Committee of its country of establishment, within 5 calendar days of the end of the quarter concerned, information on the banking conditions and prices of financial services practiced during the quarter.
Declaration of banking conditions and prices of financial services are made electronically, in accordance with the formats defined by the Circular letter of the Director General of Studies, Finance and International Relations of the Bank of Central African States. The secretary general of the National Economic and Finance Committee informs the reporting institutions of electronic address to which the declarations are to be sent.
Each reporting institution is required to designate two focal points responsible for monitoring the preparation and periodic transmission of information on banking conditions and prices of financial services to the Secretary General of the National Economic and Finance Committee.
The National Economic and Finance Committee centralizes information on banking conditions and the prices of financial services provided by reporting institutions.
The National Economic and Finance Committee produces quarterly comparative data on banking conditions and the prices of financial services for the country and for each quarter.
The Secretary General of the National Economic and Finance Committee sends by post and electronically to the central services of the Bank of Central African States, for approval by the Governor, the comparative data on banking conditions and the prices of financial services for the country and for each quarter.
The Secretary General of the National Economic and Finance Committee communicates to the reporting institutions and publishes quarterly, no later than 30 calendar days after the quarter concerned, the comparative data on banking conditions and the prices of financial services for the country and for each quarter.
The Bank of Central African States prepares and publishes comparative data on banking conditions and the prices of financial services for the Economic and Monetary Community of Central African States (CEMAC) and for each quarter, based on data transmitted by the National Economic and Finance Committee.
The procedures for compiling comparative data on banking conditions and the financial services price index by country and for the Economic and Monetary Community of Central African States (CEMAC) are defined in a circular letter from the Bank of Central African States’ Director General of Studies, Finance and International Relations.
