REGISTER A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

The procedure to register a construction company in Cameroon is regulated by the OHADA Law. Thus, the registration procedure for construction companies in Cameroon is similar to other commercial companies. INFORMATION TO BE PROVIDE BY THE PROMOTER TO THE ATTORNEY

The information to be provided by a promoter desirous to register a construction company in Cameroon include;

  1. Name of the construction company
  2. Objectives of the construction company
  3. Shareholding of the construction
  4. Manager to be appointed
  5. Head office address of the construction company etc.

DOCUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED BY THE PROMOTER

The documents to be provided by a promoter desirous to register a construction company include;

  1. Identification documents of Shareholders
  2. Identification documents of appointed manager
  3. Non-crime certificate of shareholder(s) and the manager etc.

Upon the provision of all the required information and documents to the corporate attorney, the registration cost for the construction company will be assessed and upon payment of the prescribed fee, the attorney will successfully register the construction company and provide to the promoter certain documents to wit;

  1. Articles and Memorandum of Association
  2. Statement of Subscription of share capital
  3. Certificate of appointment of the manager
  4. Certificate of incorporation of the company etc.

After a successful registration of the construction company, the company can begin operations with immediate effect.
