The issue of the refugee card in Cameroon is subject to the production by the foreigner of the following documents;
- The identification card issued by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.
- A refugee certificate is issued by the minister in charge of external relations.
The renewal of the refugee card is subject to the production by the foreigner of the following documents;
- The old refugee certificate, at least one month before its validity expires.
- The former refugee card, at least one month before the expiry of its validity.
The issuance and renewal of the refugee card are exempt from stamp duty.
The submission of a file for the first application or renewal of the refugee card gives rise to the issue of a receipt duly signed by the head of the immigration service, valid until the completion of the said file.
